Honey Hole Longbeards hosting Hunting Heritage Banquet
The Honey Hole Longbeards Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation will be hold its 25th annual Hunting Heritage Banquet on Saturday, April 6, at Edgewood in the Pines, Drums.

Fairview Elementary 6th Grade Honor Roll
Kevin Seyer, Principal, has announced the following sixth grade students have achieved Principal’s Honors at Fairview Elementary School for the 2nd Quarter of the 2023-2024 school year. The Crestwood School District Elementary Honor Roll (6th Grade) reflects that the student has attained an A in all courses offered. Inclusive are English Language Arts, Math, Social Studies and Science.
Mountain Top couple new owners of area PrimoHoagies
PrimoHoagies, known for its gourmet hoagies with high-quality meats and cheeses piled high on fresh-baked seeded rolls, has announced that the Wilkes-Barre Arena Hub, Dickson City, Edwardsville and Wilkes-Barre 309 locations are now under new ownership by local couple, Michael and Rachel Davis of Mountain Top.
Spring turkey contest winners honored
The Joe “Lucky” Lukashunas Memorial 2023 Spring Turkey contest winners were presented awards by the Honey Hole Longbeards Chapter of the NWTF at a ceremony held at Dave’s Gun Shop in Drums. Winners in each division received an engraved plaque, gift certificates from Dave’s Gun Shop, NWTF memberships and dinners at the 2024 banquet, along with frictions calls donated by the HHLB Chapter.
Invention Convention sparks creativity in Saint Jude third-graders
For the second year, the Saint Jude Third Grade took a page out of the book of America’s greatest scientists to create another exciting Invention Convention.
Forty-eight MMI Students participate in the PJAS regionals
Forty-eight MMI Preparatory School students participated in the Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science (PJAS) regional competition on March 2nd. Twenty-eight students earned first awards (one earned an additional first award in a second category), 18 earned second awards, and three earned third awards. The first award recipients will represent MMI in the state competition at the University Park Campus of Penn State on May 20.
