Don’t Be Misled
Circulation vs. Readership
This is a very easy concept:
Circulation is the number of papers that are actually printed & circulated. It is a definite number.
Readership is basically a guess as to how many people in a household are reading one paper.
MOUNTAIN PEAKS circulates 4,000 copies* twice monthly. It is fair to say that 2 people in each household read the paper. Therefore, our readership is 8,000 per edition.
According to an October 2015 audit**, our competitor circulates 1,187 copies per week and claims to reach 10,000*** readers each week. That’s 5 readers per household!
Based on that calculation, MOUNTAIN PEAKS would have a readership of 20,000.
You Decide: Mountain Peaks
- Higher Circulation
- Higher Readership
- Lower Rates
