Rice Township K-9 Maverick has received a patrol vest.
K-9 officer Brian Stout said the custom-fit vest, made by K9 Storm Inc., provides both ballistic and impalement protection for K-9 Maverick while responding to critical incidents.
Additionally, Stout related, the vest provides positive buoyancy for work around water, underbelly protection, and repelling rigging ensuring K-9 Maverick is ready for any mission. Rice Township police department expressed its thanks to several local donors and the great people at Spike’s K-9 Fund who helped Maverick secure his vest.
