The Saint Jude forensics team competed in the Reginal Forensics Competition held at Holy Redeemer High School. Two teams placed at the junior varsity level. The junior varsity team of Elizabeth Bilbow, Alivia Sweet and Kira Millard took second-place honors with their dramatic interpretation of “The Happy Club” by Jimmy Brunelle, an award-winning playwright. Fifth-grade students Elizabeth Decowski and Kayden Hernandez secured a fifth-place honor with their rendition of “Too Tall, Too Short.” The piece was written by award winning children’s book author Peg Kehret, who teamed up with her granddaughter Brett Konen to write fictional performance pieces. Students will go on to compete at the diocesan competition to be held at Holy Redeemer High School.
