Faith United Methodist Church, 1448 Slocum Road, has installed a “Little Free Pantry” on the side of the church to benefit our community.
The pantry box is located next to the driveway on the north side near the rear of the building. This is a drive-in “help yourself” program, available to all.
The “Little Free Pantry” is stocked with nonperishable foods and some personal care items for anyone who might be in need.
The mini pantry movement is a grassroots, crowdsourced solution to immediate and local need. Whether a need for food or a need to give, mini pantries help feed neighbors, nourishing neighborhoods.
Please pass the word to family, friends, community members and any others who could benefit. This project is sponsored by the Mission, Outreach & Discipleship group of the New Hope UM Charge (Faith, Slocum and Stairville churches).
“The mini pantry movement is a grassroots, crowdsourced solution to immediate and local need. Whether a need for food or a need to give, mini pantries help feed neighbors, nourishing neighborhoods,” the church said in a news release.
The church also thanked Mountain Top Signs for the company’s help with singage.
