Crestwood High School 2022 graduate Liam Petty earned a second-place finish for the Accounting II event at the 2022 Future Business Leaders of America National Leadership Conference.
The competition was held in Chicago from June 29 to July 2.
Liam is the reigning Accounting II FBLA Pennsylvania State Champion. He represented the state and Crestwood High School at the national competition where he competed against high school students from all over the country. This is the second year that Liam has qualified to compete at the national level.
During his time at Crestwood High School, he was very active in FBLA competing at the regional, state and national levels while serving as the chapter’s treasurer. Crestwood FBLA’s chapter advisor, Christy Laubach, stated that “Liam is an exceptional young man who worked extremely hard to achieve success both academically and in the FBLA organization. I speak for both the business program and FBLA chapter when I say that we couldn’t be prouder of Liam and his outstanding accomplishments.”
Liam plans to attend King’s College to major in accounting in the fall.
