Former Penn State and current Dallas Cowboy offensive lineman Connor McGovern signed autograph for fans at the Broadway Tavern in Mountain Top early this month.
Proceeds from the event went to the Wilkes-Barre Special Needs Playground and to the family of Rob Wilson, a Back Mountain man suffering from Guillain-Barre syndrome, a rare immune system disorder that attacks the nerves. The sensations spread throughout the whole body, making daily tasks difficult or impossible. Money will go toward offsetting the many medical costs and travel expenses the Wilson family has incurred and will continue to incur.
McGovern played at Lake-Lehman during his high school career.
