MOUNTAIN TOP — On Saturday, April 25, at 10 a.m., the Fairview Township Memorial Park will host a park cleanup in honor of Earth Day. This is an all-ages volunteer event to support making the park a more beautiful place, and maintain a clean Earth and a cleaner park. The event offers a way to get involved locally as well as spend time outdoors in the fresh air.
The park cleanup is also an event that’s joining in with Pick Up Pennsylvania, a statewide cleanup activity run by Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful, an effort that honors Pennsylvania’s 250th anniversary as well. Over the past year in 2025, Pick Up Pennsylvania and its volunteers picked up over 3.4 million pounds of trash all across the state, and planted nearly 23,000 trees. Organizers hope that the community brings a friend and their community spirit to the cleanup.
