The New Hope Community Room and Library summer hours are Tuesdays 6 to 7:30 p.m.; Thursdays 1 to 3 p.m. and Saturdays 12 to 4 p.m. Library closures will be posted on its Facebook page New Hope Community Room and Library. The library is located in the Stairville United Methodist Church at 1790 Stairville Road in Wapwallopen. KIDSTOWN SUMMER WEDNESDAYS

Children 4 years old through those who are finishing sixth grade are invited to join us for KidsTown Summer Wednesdays July 31, and August 7, 14, 21, and 28 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. There will be Bible lessons, games and lots of fun! 3V3 BOYS SUMMER BASKETBALL LEAGUE

Starting Point Senior High Youth Group will be hosting a Boys 3v3 Summer Basketball League at Wright Township Park on Tuesdays beginning through Aug. 13 from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. for boys who are completing grades 9 through 12 this school year. SUMMER FLEA MARKET/BAKE SALE

Stairville United Methodist Church is hosting its Summer Flea Market/Craft, Food and Bake Sale on Saturday, July 20, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the church fellowship hall – rain or shine. There will be vendors selling flea market items, handmade craft items and more. Refreshments will be available for purchase such as hotdogs, French fries, pierogies, halushki, sausage sandwiches, chili, soups, BBQ and more. There will also be a bake sale. BAKE SALE

The Nuangola Library will have a bake sale on Saturday, July 20, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. All monies raised support our scholarship fund. The Nuangola Library has been awarding scholarships for 43 years. Since 2006, it has awarded $10,000 in scholarships. A hand-made, quilted table runner will also be raffled. The bake sale will be at the Nuangola Lake Pavilion on Raeder Avenue where the Lake Association will be hosting a craft fair.

SUMMER ADVENTURE CLUBS

Mountaintop Family Church will be hosting its Summer Adventure Clubs July 22 through 25 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at MFC. Children 4 years old through those who are finishing sixth grade are invited to join us in the Jungle! We will have great Bible stories, games, music, and much, much more! SUMMER BOOK PARTY

The Marian Sutherland Kirby Library will host a summer book party from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 23, for students in grades six through 12. Participants will participate in various book activities, such as match book to food, book dating, decorate cookie to match the book cover, childhood book jeopardy, book scavenger hunt and more. PICNIC IN THE GROVE

St. Jude Parish will host its 71st annual Picnic in the Grove from Aug. 9 through Aug. 11. The event will run from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Aug. 9 and 10, and noon to 8 p.m. Aug. 11. There will be something for everyone – delicious food including homemade pierogi’s and halusky, fantastic music, a huge basket raffle and an open pit Chicken BBQ Dinner on Sunday, starting at noon.

CRAFT, DIRECT SALES AND OUTDOOR FLEA MARKET

The American Legion Auxiliary Mountain Unit 781 will be hosting an Indoor Craft, Direct Sales and an Outdoor Flea Market and are looking for vendors. This event will be held on Saturday, Sept. 7, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Legion Home, 1550 Henry Drive, Mountain Top, in the downstairs hall and parking lot. COMMUNITY DAY

The Mountain Top Hose Co. # 1 Auxillary will hold a community day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 14 Woodlawn Ave., Mountain Top, at the pavilion grounds.
