The Mountain Top Community Association will sponsor a seminar to answer these questions and more on Thursday, May 4, from 7 to 9 p.m. at King’s Restaurant
Panelists expected to participate include Luzerne County District Attorney Sam Sanguedolce, State Trooper Anthony Petroski, Pennsylvania State Police community relations liaison; criminal defense attorney Christopher Opiel; and state Rep. Alec Ryncavage, R-Plymouth.
The panelists will explain the use of force under state law; when there is a duty to retreat; the lethal force triangle; and elements of the “Stand Your Ground” and “Castle Doctrine.”
A 90-minute presentation will be followed by a question-and-answer period. . The event is free and open to the public and light refreshments will be served. Reserve a spot by emailing MACA18707@AOL.com. Walk-ins are also welcome.
