Jordan Kotowski, owner of Abe’s Hot Dogs in Mountain Top, was seleceted as Eastern Pennsylvania District Young Entrepreneur of the Year by the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Eastern Pennsylvania District Office.

Kotowski was nominated for the award by Kristin Sassi, consultant manager at Wilkes University’s Small Business Development Center.

SBA’s Eastern Pennsylvania Small Business Awards winners are selected from among nominees located across Pennsylvania’s eastern 40 counties. The local recognition is part of the annual Presidentially-designated National Small Business Week, Building a Better America Through Entrepreneurship, taking place May 1-7, 2022.

“For more than 50 years, SBA’s National Small Business Week awards have recognized the achievements of small businesses and the organizations that assist them in eastern Pennsylvania,” said SBA Eastern Pennsylvania District Director Steven Dixel. “It’s an honor to present these awards. Each business is exceptional and deserving of recognition as they have demonstrated their resiliency and resolve to create and deliver products and services impacting our communities and economy post pandemic.”

During National Small Business Week, the U.S. Small Business Administration recognizes and awards outstanding entrepreneurs, small business owners, and others from around the country. Additionally, recognition and educational events throughout SBA’s 10 Regions and 68 Districts will be held throughout the month of May.
