Crestwood High School was the place to be on April 9.

The Comets’ Football team hosted their second annual Food Truck Frenzy, an event that hosted local food trucks, small gift vendors and Easter flower vendors.

Vendors included Abe’s Hot Dogs, Skinny Dipper’s Sweets, Butcher Bob’s, Mert’s Diner and more. Baskets were donated as raffle prizes, which included lottery tickets, gift cards to local restaurants and more. Vendors also sold small gifts and Easter Flowers.

Braving rain, wind and hail, hundreds of children lined up on Crestwood’s football field for the booster club’s second annual Community Easter Egg Hunt.

The Community Egg Hunt started at 3 p.m. on Crestwood High School’s main field. The first 400 children were admitted, all aged 12 and under.

Crestwood’s booster club asked that participants bring food donations that were donated to the Mountain Top Food Bank. Special appearances were made by the Easter Bunny and Como the Comet, the team’s mascot.

Football players spent the week prior preparing for the event by preparing 400+ candy bags, and Easter eggs for participants in the hunt.
