FAIRVIEW TWP. — The Think Pink Foundation hosted a benefit at the newly renovated Broadway Tavern on March 19 to help local women battling cancer.
The third Blindfolded Ham and Cabbage Bowl happened to fall on St. Patrick’s Day weekend, so participants were encouraged to wear green. Those who chose to bowl got to pick either a ham or a head of cabbage, got blindfolded, spun around and then tried to get a strike. Bowling prizes included $200 for 1st, $100 for 2nd and $50 for 3rd. Tickets that included bowling and an event T-shirt cost $15. Think Pink was also accepting donations, had basket raffles, a 50/50 and a percentage of the food and drink total also went to the foundation.
Entertainment was provided by local favorites 2ROCKAHOLIX and DJ Quinn.
The event was sponsored by businesses including The Ice House Pub, Mountain Top Wellness Center, and various local families.
For those looking to get involved in the next fundraiser, Think Pink announced that they will be partnering with Canvanaugh’s Grille, with more details coming soon, after a local student raised $1,000 for the foundation with a school dress down day.
