Students from the Crestwood Secondary Campus participated in the Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science Regional Meeting which was held virtually on Saturday, March 5.
Fifteen students earned a First Award, including a perfect score in Math by junior Zain Ansari and a perfect score in Chemistry by sophomore Austin Campbell.
Nine students earned Second Awards. First Award winners move on to the State Competition to be held at Penn State’s University Park Campus in May.
Several students also received special awards. Senior, Kevin Cheng, received a scholarship to Wilkes University in the amount of $2,500 a year for four years. Ansari and Shreya Rupareliya were awarded tuition for one three-credit course at LCCC’s Early College Program.
Seniors Kevin Cheng and Zoe Stewart also won Perseverance Awards for participation of six years and five years, respectively.
