PLAINS TWP. — Plains North took advantage of anything offered in Monday night’s District 16 Little League Major Baseball championship.

Fire companies hold open house

Dorrance Township Volunteer Fire and Ambulance and Wright Township Volunteer Fire Department held their first “Fire and Ice” community open house on Sunday, July 17, at Dorrance Township Volunteer Fire Co. headquarters. The event featured a display of fire equipment from both departments as well as the Dorrance Township ambulance, a Wright Township police vehicle, Pennsylvania State Police fire marshal, safety information from Geisinger Medical Center, Smokey Bear and free ice cream.
