The Joe “Lucky” Lukashunas Memorial 2021 Spring Turkey contest winners were presented awards by the Honey Hole Longbeards Chapter of the NWTF at a ceremony held at Dave’s Gun Shop in Drums. Winners in each division received an engraved plaque, gift certificates from Dave’s Gun Shop, NWTF memberships and dinners at the 2022 banquet, along with frictions calls donated by the HHLB Chapter.

MOUNTAIN TOP — A dog abandoned in Kingston last month has found his happily-ever-after and a forever home with his new people.

WRIGHT TWP. — Community members rallied around Crestwood sophomore Mayson Girton through multiple fundraisers in the area.

Senior Jayden Bonham, Junior Khristian Banks and Junior Ty McDermott will represent MMI Preparatory School at the state finals of the Pennsylvania School Press Association’s Student Journalism Competition. The state finals will be held on March 30 at Penn State University’s University Park campus.

MMI senior Daniella Vasquez has been named a semifinalist for the 2022 class of the Coca-Cola Scholars Program, moving to the next round of the selection process to become a Coca-Cola Scholar and receive a $20,000 college scholarship.

Crestwood’s varsity cheerleading competition squad is celebrating a major accomplishment after they placed seventh in the nation while competing at the most “prestigious high school national championship in the country.”
