Jackie Gallagher turned in a double-double, finishing with 26 points and 15 rebounds to help the Crestwood girls basketball team knock off New Jersey power St. Thomas Aquinas 62-53 at Saturday’s Electric City Shootout hosted by Lackawanna College.
Gallagher scored 11 points in the second quarter as the Comets had 23 in the frame to take the lead.
Charlie Hiller added 20 points for Crestwood while Keira Dougherty had three points, eight rebounds and five assists.
St. Thomas Aquinas has multiple Division I recruits on the roster and the Comets held standout guard Lauryn Downing to seven points.
