The Mountain Top Historical Society held its “Senior Prom” on May 18 at the Broadway Tavern. Music from the 1950s, ’60s, and ’70s was played by Times Remembered with DJ Todd Prutzman.
Selected Prom King was Lenny Banter of Wilkes-Barre Township and Prom Queen was Dawn Klick of Drums.
This historical society meets on the fourth Monday of each month at the Ice House Pub, Nuangola Road, Mountain Top. New members are welcome. The society is making plans for its participation in the 2024 Mountain Top July 4 parade. Society member and historian Joe Kubic has been selected grand marshal of the parade.
