The Rice Township Police Department recently received a donation from the “For the Paws” organization of Michigan. The organization donated a patrol vest for K-9 Maverick, no-spill bowls and a training sleeve for the K-9 unit. They also included some Michigan-made snacks for officers to enjoy.
“We’d like to extend our sincere gratitude to everyone at ‘For the Paws’ for their donation,” said K-9 officer Brian Stout. “We greatly appreciate it and are humbled by their generosity.”
Stout said the patrol vest will be utilized when Maverick is engaged in tracking activities.
