Crestwood High School culminated a week of homecoming celebrations on Oct. 6 with a parade, crowning of the king and queen and an exciting 28-21 victory over Hazleton Area.

Morgan Koons was voted homecoming queen while Luke Swerdon was selected homecoming king. The pair was crowned prior to the Comets football game with Hazleton Area.

The school held spirit week events for students throughout the week prior to homecoming. A bonfire was held on Oct. 3 and the annual homecoming parade preceded the game.

Selected to represent the Crestwood Class of 2024 as the 2023 homecoming court were:

• Morgan Koons escorted by Luke Swerdon

Morgan is the daughter of Maria and Greg Koons. Her activities include Senior Class Vice President, Interact Service Club Vice President, National Honor Society, Aevidum Club, French Club and Green Club. Morgan is a member of the field hockey and lacrosse teams. Following graduation, she plans to attend college where she will study psychology and play lacrosse.

Luke Swerdon is the son of Amy and John Swerdon. His activities include Crestwood Football, hanging out with friends, and playing video games. His favorite sports teams are the Green Bay Packers, the Milwaukee Bucks, and the Milwaukee Brewers. Following graduation, Luke plans to attend college.

Megan is the daughter of Brian and Lori Laskoski. Her activities include Senior Class President, Key Club Secretary, National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society, Aevidum Club, and Green Club. Megan is a member of the cross country and track and field teams. Following graduation, Megan plans to attend college and major in Secondary Education.

Ryan is the son of Erin and Dave Kozich. His activities include student government, Ski Club and Model UN. Ryan is a member of the cross country and track and field teams. Following graduation, Ryan plans to attend college and major in aviation.

• Olivia Mitchell escorted by Henry Canela, Jr.

Olivia is the daughter of Kevin and Melissa Mitchell. Her activities include National Business Honor Society, Aevidum Club, and the Crestwood softball team. Following graduation, Olivia plans to attend college and obtain a degree in Early Childhood Education.

Henry is the son of Carla and Jesus Valerio. He enjoys spending time playing basketball and listening to music. Following graduation, Henry plans to pursue a career in physical therapy.

• Maggie Modrovsky escorted by Christopher Harmon

Maggie is the daughter of Mark and Maura Modrovsky. Maggie is Aevidum Club President, Interact Club President, and a member of French Club, Green Club, National Honor Society, National French Honor Society, and Future Business Leaders of America. She is captain of the lacrosse team and is a member of the field hockey team. Following graduation, Maggie plans to attend college, and major in biochemistry in preparation for dental school.

Christopher is the son of Ashley and Chris Harmon. He is a member of the Crestwood Football team. Chris enjoys hunting, riding his quad, golfing with the boys, and hanging out with friends. His favorite teams are the Philadelphia Eagles and Penn State. Following graduation, he plans to attend college to major in biology.

• Ainsley Webby escorted by Nicholas Danishefsky

Ainsley is the daughter of Peter and Irene Webby. Ainsley’s activities include Aevidum Club, National Honor Society, and Green Club. She is a member of the lacrosse and field hockey teams. Following graduation AInsley plans to attend college and pursue a degree in nursing.

Nicholas is the son of Maria Danishefsky. Nick is a member of the Crestwood Soccer team. In his free time, he enjoys fishing, golfing, going to the gym, and cutting lawns. His favorite football team is the Green Bay Packers. Following graduation, Nick plans to pursue a career in the trades.
