The inaugural David J. Miller Memorial Golf Tournament will be held Sunday, Sept. 10, at Blue Ridge Trail Golf Club, Mountain Top.
The tournament is a tribute to David J. Miller, a loving father to his daughters Cassandra and Emily, a devoted friend, and a caring community member who had a passion for golf.
The tournament will feature an 18-hole, captain-and-crew format with registration at 11 a.m. and a shotgun start at 1:30 p.m.
“We are excited to honor Dave’s memory through this golf tournament,” said event organizer Carla Jagodzinski. “His dedication to his children and his commitment to our community continue to inspire us. This tournament is an opportunity for us all to come together, celebrate his legacy, and create lasting memories.”
In addition to a day of golf, the event will include hole-in-one contests, exclusive player gifts, and refreshments.
Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the David Miller Memorial Scholarship Fund of The Luzerne Foundation. The scholarships from this fund are awarded to eligible Crestwood High School students, Miller’s alma mater, and “Littles” involved in Big Brothers Big Sisters of NEPA, with a preference given to those who have lost a parent at a young age.
Registration for the tournament is open.
