The first “It Takes a Vollage” event to raise awareness of resources and support for people struggling with addiction and their family members was held Saturday, Aug. 19 at the Christ United Methodist Church soccer fields.
Numerous community organizations that offer support services and resources for those dealing with addiction and loss turned out for the family-oriented event which also included a dunk tank, cornhole tournament for teens, a bounce house, music and refreshments.
