The Slocum Township Volunteer Fire Company is hold it’s annual meat raffle.

Tickets are $10 each or three for $20. All meat is locally farmed and butchered beef from Mathlath’s Farm in Sugarloaf.

The raffle will be held on Oct. 28. Tickets can be purchased by messaging the fire company on Facebook, visiting Blue Ridge Polaris during their normal business hours, contacting any member of the fire company or stopping by the annual Mudbog on Sept. 9.

The prizes are as follows:

First prize: a ribeye, a New York Strip, a porterhouse, a T-bone, two sirloin tip steaks, eight quarter-pound hamburger patties, two pounds of minute steaks, two pounds of stew meat, four pounds of ground beef and one chuck roast.

Second prize: five pounds of ground beef, two pounds of minute steaks, one pack of ribs, eight quarter-pound hamburger patties and two sirloin steaks.

Third prize: a brisket, two packs of ribs, eight quarter-pound hamburger patties and five pound of ground beef.

Fourth prize: 15 pounds of ground beef.
