Stephen C. McCune, of Rice Township, was presented a certificate and commemorative plaque by the Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Association recently in recognition of his 50 years of licensure as a funeral director in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
The awards ceremony was held during their annual convention in Lancaster.
McCune is a 1972 graduate of the co-operative program established between the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science and the University of Cincinnati. Steve and his wife, Carol, owned and operated McCune Funeral Home in Fairview Township, prior to retirement from ownership in 2006.
Steve remains active in funeral service, assisting several area funeral homes.
