The Marian Sutherland Kirby Library held its summer programs kick-off party on June 17 on the library grounds. Children had the opportunity to sign up for pre-school, children’s and teen summer programs. They also were able to adopt a stuffed animal and have their faces painted and participate in a door prize raffle.
Highlight of the afternoon were the alpacas of Windy Haven Farms. Young and old enjoyed interacting and feeding the five alpacas brought to the library grounds by Tom and Carina Havenstrite who own the farm located in the Moscow area. The farm houses 24 alpaca.
