The Women’s Boutique and Consignment Shop, located at 109 South Mountain Blvd., recently held its grand reopening.

Misty Kazmierski, bought the shop located near Carone’s Market last summer and over recent weeks did some interior remodeling which led to the grand re-opening. The remodeling included new and brighter lighting and new furniture which she purchased at antique sales.

“I put my own taste and style to it,” Kazmierski said of the new interior.

Kazmierski pointed out she has sales every week with some items for as low as $3 to $5.

“I try to keep prices reasonable so everyone can have nice things. While most of the clothing is gently used, some clothes that come into the shop are brand new with original store tags on them. She also buys new clothes in New York City which she sells in the boutique.

At the grand re-opening, Mountain Top resident Dolly Rushton found a bargain while browsing through the nicely organized racks of clothing. Rushton, who works at the nearby Carone’s Market, found a brand-new Laura Ashley quilted vest with its original store price tag of $114 still attached. She got the vest on sale for $8.50.

Another Mountain Top resident, Kelly Fenstermacher, browsed through the display of purses.

“I just love purses. The shop lets me find new ones at great bargains,” she offered.

Kazmierski also sells new jewelry, some of which is made by local artisans. She also sells soaps. “I like to support local businesses,” she said.

She pointed out she often donates clothes to women’s shelters, Candy’s Place or women who simply are in need of clothes.
