Crestwood High School honored senior members of its wrestling team at Senior Night held prior to its last home meet of the season with Wyoming Valley West.
Seniors were introduced with members of their families and the Crestwood Comets Wrestling Club presented each wrestler with a gift bag in appreciation of their dedication.
The Comets dropped a hard-fought 40-33 decision to the visiting Spartans.
Crestwood fought back from an 18-0 deficit after three bouts to grab a 21-18 lead. Santino Casarella started the comeback at 133 pounds with a 6-2 decision over Valley West’s Caleb Hoffman. That was followed by pins at 139 pounds by Thomas Stavitski; 145 pounds by Ethan Zabroski; and Devin Shaw at 160 pounds. The Spartans regained the lead with pins at 160 pounds, 172 pounds and 189 pounds.
Magnus Bibla recorded a second-period pin for Crestwood at 215 pounds and Anson Jumper won by pin at 107 pounds.
