Saint Jude second graders takes a bite out of a good book

What do cheeseburgers and fiction have in common? A whole lot if you are in the Saint Jude School second grade class. Under the direction of their teacher, MaryAnn Crofchick, the students read a book of their choice and then broke the book down into “toppings” for their cheeseburgers. Students examined plot, characters, and setting amongst other things. And they certainly learned that reading can be a delicious way to spend the day.
