On National Ice Cream Day, which was July 17, candidate for state representative Alec Ryncavage partnered with Milkhouse Creamery for a meet and greet … and ice cream cones.
Ryncavage said in an email that the theme for the event was “Why buy billboards when you can buy ice cream cones?”
“This was an excellent way to drive business to Milkhouse as they prepare to close their doors while also celebrating summer and helping a small business clear their inventory and not have to create any waste,” Ryncavage wrote in the email.
More than 300 customers showed up in a two-hour period with more than 170 customers enjoying the candidate’s free ice cream deal.
Ryncavage, a Republican, is running for the seat in the 119th District. He is opposed by Democrat Vito Malacari.
