Crestwood High School recently acknowledged senior students during awards night, during which the Wyoming Valley Woman’s Club awarded Nash Greene a $1,000 scholarship.
Presenting the award on behalf of the Wyoming Valley Woman’s Club were Anna Elmir, president and Cindy Mitchell, treasurer and chair of the scholarship committee. Nash Greene will be attending Penn State Main Campus in the fall.
The Wyoming Valley Woman’s Club Scholarship Committee reviewed multiple applications submitted by Crestwood seniors. Each year the club selects a different high school to have a student awarded a scholarship. The scholarship for 2023 will be selected from applicants from the Dallas School district.
The committee uses a point system based on the applicants’ grades, clubs, athletic involvement, part time jobs and/or summer jobs, volunteering, projects, answers on their applications, community involvement and content of a letter and essay.
