It was another successful couple of weeks for the Crestwood girls lacrosse team as the Comets ran their record to 11-1-1 with four victories and a tie.
Goalie Morgan Koons reached a career milestone, recording her 100th career save. Koons hit the mark with a 13-save performance in a 16-8 win over Abington Heights
Crestwood 19, Tunkhanock 5
Isabella Caporuscio scored eight goals and had two assists as Crestwood downed Tunkhannock in a game played April 26.
Julia Glowacki chipped in five goals and six assists, while Grace Pasternick had four goals.
Also scoring for the Comets were Hannah Zeigler (1 goal, 2 assists) and Brooke Lapinski (1 goal, 2 assists).
Koons and Lucy Malia split time in goal for Crestwood. Koons had six saves, while Malia had one.
Crestwood 14, Lake-Lehman 13
Caporuscio scored eight goals to lead the Comets past Lehman in a game played April 23.
Also contributing for Crestwood were Glowacki (1 goal, 4 assits), Pasternick (1 goal), Zeigler (2 goals, 1 assist), Gallagher Kate (2 goals) and Olivia Jardine (1 assist).
Koons had 10 saves in goal.
Crestwood 16, Wyoming Area 16
Caporuscio had 6 goals and four assists as the Comets tied Wyoming Area in a game played April 21.
Also scoring for Crestwood were Glowacki (5 goals, 1 assist), Pasternick (2 goals), Lapinski (1 goal) and Ziegler (2 goals, 1 assist).
Koons made nine saves in goal.
Crestwood 20, Wilkes-Barre Area 2
Caporuscio had four goals and an assist as Crestwood defeated Wilkes-Barre Area on April 19.
Also scoring for the Comets were Glowacki (3 goals, 1 assist), Pasternick (3 goals, 2 assists), Katelyn Bozinko (1 goal), Ziegler (2 goals, 2 assists), Emma Domzalski (1 goal), Taylor O’Farrell (1 goal), Aubrey Colo (1 goal), Kennedy Zlockie (1 goal), Kate (1 goal, 2 assist), Gemma Alberti (1 goal) and Ella Panzik (1 goal).
Koons and Ainsley Webby shared time in goal with each recording two saves.
Crestwood 16, Abington Heights 8
Caporuscio had nine goals and two assists to lead the Comets past Abington Heights in a game played April 16.
