WRIGHT TWP. — Since it’s opening just a few months ago, Mountain Top Pub & Eatery has been a gathering spot for people looking for fun, food, music and dancing.

Judging by the full parking lot, and laughs heard from outside the door, the pub was definitely the place to be on Saturday, March 5. It not only hosted a Mardi Gras party, but a wedding ceremony and a retirement party.

The eatery kicked off the party by hosting one local couple’s very special evening.

Love was in the air for Paul and Genevieve Casey who were married in the pub. The room quickly filled with guests, all who came to honor the couple. The Casey’s celebrated their newlywed status surrounded by friends, family and even strangers who were eager to extend their best wishes.

The ceremony was officiated by Sean Reilly, vocalist of Hangin With F.O.G., a local rock band, who then took to the stage to keep the energy rolling through the night.

If you weren’t able to make it to the Mardi Gras party, fear not.

The pub is hosting a St. Patrick’s Day Party at 5 p.m. on Thursday, March 17, where patrons will get to hear a live pipe and drum band to celebrate the holiday. No St. Patty’s Day party would be complete without Irish themed dishes, deserts and drinks. If you’re lucky you may even find a hidden gold coin, which is equal to a special prize.

Mountain Top Pub & Eatery has an ever-changing food specials menu, and a lineup of different bartenders who each have their own favorite drink to serve. The pub has also recently put “Thankful Tuesday” into effect, where a 10% discount on food and soda is offered to all first responders, fire fighters, police, nurses, EMTs, educators, and their support staff “as a special way to say thank you to “all of those who take care of us.”
